The Pathology Examination Review Panel (CRPERP) develops, sets, reviews, and marks the Phase 2 Clinical Radiology Pathology examinations. Joining the panel is a rewarding way to contribute to both your profession and the College.
The Panel is comprised of up to eight members, including up to two pathologists who are members of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA) and minimum of four current members of RANZCR.
The work of panel is guided by the following principles:
“ I am deeply passionate about Radiology and Pathology teaching and education. I strongly believe that medical Pathology is central to high-quality radiological care for our patients and promotes interdisciplinary respect and collegiality in clinical care and multi-disciplinary meeting settings. So, when I received the invitation to join the Pathology Examiners Panel last year in 2024, I saw it as a wonderful opportunity to serve by being involved in shaping how we structure assessment for our trainees. It is equally inspiring and rewarding to work with like-minded individuals (Radiologists, Pathologists, ACER team and Senior RANZCR Exams Officers) on the Panel who all work with a common goal of creating a fair, transparent and high-quality Pathology written examination for our RANZCR trainees. On a personal level, contributing as an Examiner Panel member on the Pathology Examinations Panel drives me to keep abreast with latest developments in radiological and pathological evidence-based literature. This enables me to integrate these learnings not only in structuring Phase 2 examinations but also in the day-to-day radiological care including clinical multi-disciplinary meetings. I would warmly encourage anyone interested to put their hand up, get involved and contribute. We are richer as a College community for the diversity of experience and expertise we bring to our wonderful profession of Radiology!” — Dr Vidisha Vaidya
