  • Practising sub-specialist/special interest in your field
  • Knowledge of curriculum, learning outcomes, and assessment
  • Interest or expertise in examinations

  • Understanding of the medical, educational, and regulatory context in which RANZCR operates
  • Ability to act with care, diligence, and integrity
Dr Sarah Constantine

I have been involved in the Part 2 oral exams for almost 10 years and the Part 1 anatomy exam for about 2 years.
I was quite nervous at first as to whether I was good enough to be an examiner, but the established examiners and College officials were all very helpful and supportive. Now I cannot imagine not being involved! The exams keep me on my toes and help keep me up-to-date with my knowledge better than any other CPD activities. I have also made some wonderful radiology friends from all over Australia and New Zealand. It is also great to give back to the College — if we all volunteer a little bit, the system will keep on going for years to come.

Time commitment

The Review Panel typically meets up to three times per year to set, edit, and review the Anatomy examinations.

Typical meetings include:

  • 1 x setting meeting (2 days)
  • 2 x review meetings (1 day each)
  • Examiner training (1 session)

Length of Tenure

Panel members serve a three-year term and can be reappointed for up to three terms in a row. After that, they need to take a two-year break before rejoining, unless the Panel Chair and Chair of CREAC approve an extension.
