Showcasing Expertise in Clinical Radiology and Radiation Oncology: RANZCR New Zealand Annual Scientific Meeting to Convene in Wellington

Over 350 delegates will gather in Wellington from Friday 15 August to Sunday 17 August, as the New Zealand branch of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) hosts its Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM).

The three-day conference, held at Tākina Wellington Convention and Exhibition Centre, will convene leading clinicians and industry experts to discuss the latest research, issues and advancements shaping the future of clinical radiology and radiation oncology.

The RANZCR New Zealand ASM encompasses world-class educational programming, interactive workshops, and keynote presentations, including a combined faculty panel discussion on the ethical and medico-legal considerations of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in clinical practice.

Several distinguished international keynote speakers will feature at the conference, including:

  • Dr Kevin Chang (USA) - Section Chief of Abdominal Imaging and Director of MRI at Boston University Medical Center, a national leader in CT Colonography.
  • Dr Rohini Nadgir (USA) - Neuroradiologist from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, co-author of the esteemed Neuro Requisites textbook, and an expert in head and neck imaging as well as an innovator in remote teaching and learning.
  • Dr Emmeline Lee (AUS) - Women’s Imaging specialist from Perth, recipient of ASUM’s Australian Sonologist of the Year, and Director of BreastScreen WA.
  • Dr Caroline Chung (USA) - Vice President and Chief Data and Analytics Officer and co-director of the Institute for Data Science in Oncology, and tenured professor in radiation oncology and diagnostic radiology at the MD Anderson Cancer Centre.
