Cardiac MRI Specialists are invited to apply to represent RANZCR on the Conjoint Committee for the Recognition of Training in CMRI (Conjoint Committee).
 
The aim of the Conjoint Committee is to maintain the position statement on Initial Certification and Maintenance of Recognition in Cardiac MRI for training, assessment and quality assurance in Cardiac MRI in Australia and New Zealand, and to certify applicants seeking recognition in Cardiac MRI in Australia and New Zealand.
  • One radiologist Conjoint Committee member (representing RANZCR).
  • The term of office for each Conjoint Committee member is three years and may be re-elected to serve for a maximum of two consecutive terms.
Eligibility criteria
  • Member of RANZCR
  • Current accreditation as a CMRI Specialist
  • Minimum registration as a CMRI Specialist of five years.
Meeting commitment
 
Four online meetings annually. 
 
Content commitment
 
There are approximately 165 CMRI specialists currently registered who are required to submit their maintenance of recognition application on a three-year cycle, in addition to applicants applying for initial registration. 
 
The applications are reviewed by one cardiologist, and one radiologist, therefore each quarter, applications are split into three batches to be reviewed by Conjoint Committee members. Any discrepancies are discussed at the quarterly meetings.
