Are you interested? Radiation Oncology Mentors and Mentees needed!

The Faculty of Radiation Oncology will be piloting a Mentoring Program throughout 2021, beginning in January and running through to December. The program is intended to support trainees and new consultants as they progress through their training and into junior consultant positions.

This will be a great opportunity for trainees and new Fellows (within 5 years of Fellowship) to establish a mentor relationship with a member of the Faculty to develop different skills such as leadership and gain further insight into their areas of interest.

For Mentors, volunteering in the program will provide them the opportunity to contribute to the continuing development of the profession and to provide guidance to trainees and new Fellows on managing the transition into junior consultants.

Commitment

The pilot will run 11 months, from January 2021-December 2021. Members will be expected to attend 4-5 one hour webinars. Mentoring pairs will determine the frequency, duration and medium of their meetings.

Eligibility criteria

Radiation Oncology Trainees and Fellows within 5 years of Fellowship for mentees.

Radiation Oncology Senior Trainees and Fellows for mentors.
