Statistical Methods, Evidence Appraisal & Research for Trainees (SMART)

The in-person workshop will be held on Tuesday, 17 March 2026, at the Pullman Melbourne Albert Park to coincide with the 2026 Trans-Tasman Radiation Oncology Group (TROG) Annual Scientific Meeting.

Designed primarily for Radiation Oncology trainees, the program focuses on essential study design concepts, featuring concise presentations by biostatisticians and interactive, small-group sessions led by Radiation Oncologist facilitators. Participants will review actively recruiting and published clinical trials to deepen their understanding of research methodology and evidence appraisal.

The workshop is also open to Clinical Radiology trainees, Radiation Therapy trainees, and Medical Physics trainees who wish to strengthen their foundation in clinical research and statistical methods.
