Imaging Findings in COVID-19 Disease

Australia and New Zealand are beginning to see patients presenting with respiratory disease either suspected or known to be due to the novel Coronavirus infection (COVID-19). Radiologists play a key role in diagnosis of disease and the College is monitoring emerging literature and evidence on the role of radiology in COVID-19 detection to ensure we can support our members in caring for patients who present with related symptoms.

For members interested in learning more about the imaging findings associated with COVID-19, the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) has published an editorial and expert panel papers in Radiology that summarise what is known about the imaging at present. These resources include an image gallery. View resources

This is an evolving situation and advice will continue to be updated via a dedicated page on our website in the coming days and weeks. We will communicate any significant developments as needed. You can also find on this page our advice on College events, assessments and the measures we are taking to protect our staff, trainees, IMGs and members.
