RANZCR Celebrates the International Day of Radiology 2021 with Clinicians and Patients

The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) is celebrating the International Day of Radiology 2021 (IDoR) with interventional radiologists and interventional neuroradiologists and their patients at an online morning tea today.

Highlighting this year’s theme: Interventional Radiology – Active care for the patient, this special event features Dr Nicholas Brown, an Interventional Radiologist, and Dr Andrew Cheung, an Interventional Neuroradiologist, in conversation with their patients, sharing their stories about how interventional radiology and interventional neuroradiology procedures have changed or saved their patients’ lives in the first-person narrative.

It brings us all together to pause for a moment and raise our coffee or tea cups to say ‘Happy International Day of Radiology and Thank you!’ to celebrate the outstanding achievements and contributions that radiologists have made. It also aims to educate our audience about the growing specialties of interventional radiology and interventional neuroradiology and the key role that these professions have played as well as the substantial difference they have made in contributing to great patient outcomes.
