Program Highlights for CR Trainees

2021 Branch of Origin Session

10:30am – 12:30pm on Friday 17 September 2021

Watch the “Battle of the Branches”, as radiologist trainees from each state and NZ make their outstanding research presentations and compete for the grand prize. The winner will attend the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) meeting in 2022.

RANZCR Update on Training and Assessment Reform

9:00am – 10:00am on Saturday 18 September

This session will provide a comprehensive overview of the new training program including changes to the curriculum, assessments, learning activities and progression rules. Learn more and ask questions about the key changes coming to your new Clinical Radiology Training program that will launch in February 2022.

Get hot tips for your upcoming exam

10:30am – 12:30pm on Saturday 18 September 2021

Dr Scicchitano, Dr Jarema, Dr Harisis and Dr Lukies share their insider perspective on how to prepare for your exams at the Trainee Learning Day. As recent graduates, they will openly share their personal experiences, exam tips and what to expect. Please be sure to submit questions for the presenters to answer during the live session. Radiopedia Chest Workshop

A valuable opportunity to hear from subspecialty expert educators Dr Andrew Dixon, Dr Miranda Siemenowicz, and A/Prof Frank Gaillard about chest and neuroradiology. These sessions will feature high yield cases and tips to getting to the right diagnosis.

Clinical Radiology Radiopedia Quiz

7:00pm – late on Thursday 16th September 2021

We are excited to announce that the Radiopedia Quiz will return to the RANZCR ASM 2021. The Quiz will take place right after the Welcome Reception. The Quiz Masters for this event will be Dr Andrew Dixon and Associate Professor Frank Gillard. If you haven’t been before, this event is the perfect blend of learning and lively entertainment.

Trainee and junior radiologist reception

RANZCR Annual Gala Dinner Celebration

INVITED SPEAKER PRESENTATION: Contrast Allergy and Anaphylaxis Workshop with Dr Luke Phillips

1:30pm – 3:00pm on Thursday 16 September 2021

Dr Luke Philips is a leading educator in emergency medicine and will be kindly delivering a session for radiologists and radiology trainees on the management of mild, moderate and severe allergic reactions and anaphylaxis to contrast media used in radiology. This is a fast-paced and practical topic not to be missed.
