Boost for cancer care and digital health, concerning cuts to MRI: RANZCR supports the Government’s $7.2 million commitment for a new eReferral system. RANZCR also supports several initiatives to expand or continue cancer screening and treatment. The budget includes purported “efficiency savings” of $107m over four years for MRI, but few details are provided. RANZCR is very concerned about the implications these changes may have for access to this critical diagnostic test and will be raising our concerns with the Government.
