RANZCR Situational Supervisor Workshop

Purposefully designed workshop that aims to provide participants with tools and strategies to manage the teacher-trainee relationship, identifying and managing the trainee in difficulty, personal leadership, emotional intelligence, resilience and learning theory in the healthcare setting. The workshops specifically target RANZCR supervisors or consultants that work with trainees. It equips supervisors with the skills and strategies that enable supervisors to deliver expert teaching in the workplace.

This workshop is complementary and we encourage all to attend.  Places are limited so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible

Key Content:

  • Practical approaches to direct, indirect and remote supervision
  • Education Practice - how to teach something new
  • Leadership and supervision
  • Learning theory
  • Aligning assessment measures and outcomes to supervision
  • Interprofessional learning opportunities in the local workplace
  • Managing complexity in the workplace
  • Wellness and self-care as a core competency

 Each workshop is a facilitated face-to-face discussion that comprises case studies, some short presentations and practical input and insights from participants. All topics are informed by peer reviewed research.
