The 500 trainees in the RANZCR membership database as of 30 June 2012, were contacted as part of the Radiology Workforce Census and invited to participate in the Census

All members who obtained fellowship (including IMGs) between January 2012 and September 2016 were invited to participate in a short, online New Fellows Survey (NFS) during August-November, 2016, in order to understand the experiences newly qualified radiologists face as they enter the employment market.

The Clinical Radiology Workforce Committee (CRWC) of the Faculty of Clinical Radiology (FCR), Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR), are delighted to present the 2016 Clinical Radiology Workforce Census Report: New Zealand. The Clinical Radiology Workforce Census (“Census”) is a quadrennial survey of all Clinical Radiologist members that aims to understand current workforce dynamics and their impact on radiologist staffing levels and skill-mix. This report presents and analyses the results of the 2016 Census.

All members who completed the five-year RANZCR radiology training program between October 2016 and September 2017 or answered that they were undertaking nuclear medicine training or fellowships in the 2016 New Fellows Survey were invited to participate in a short, online new fellows survey between October and November 2017, in order to understand the experiences newly qualified radiologists face as they enter the employment market.
